Rep. Loretta Sanchez, chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on the Border, talked about a joint hearing yesterday with another Homeland Security subcommittee on developments for 28 miles of virtual fence outside of Nogales, Arizona. Known as “Project 28,” it is part of the Secured Border Initiative program and will test the use of cameras, radar, and sensors to secure a portion of the Arizona-Mexico border. Rep. Sanchez responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
