Chad Klitzman talked about one of the middle school section third prize-winning videos, No Child Left Behind: Mistake or Big Break?, that he produced with Dustin Slade, a fellow 8th-grade student at Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston, Florida. He said that the teachers he interviewed were uniformily against the No Child Left Behind Act because it forced them to “teach to a test.” He talked about how he and his partner cooperated on making the video and their plans for the prize money. He was interviewed by telephone from the C-SPAN newsroom by Jonelle Henry.

C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary exploring a current political topic using some C-SPAN footage and covering multiple viewpoints. The local cable company was Advanced Cable Communications.
