Former Representative Edwards (R-OK) spoke on presidential leadership. He talked about the concept of unitary presidential authority and how that has been expressed such as in campaign statements, the actions of federal agencies, and in signing statements. He provided examples from the Bush administration and he contrasted it with the constitutional provisions for separation of powers. Former Representative Edwards responded to questions from members of the audience. Professor Baker made introductory remarks.
