President Bush said that the economy will continue to expand, but at a slower pace than it had in previous years. He talked about the need to pass an economic stimulus package to avoid an economic downturn. He said that the tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 must be expanded past 2010 and that the uncertainty of this expansion is detrimental to the economy. close
