The panelists, including two Pakistani members of parliament, discussed the upcoming elections in Pakistan and the future of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) after the assassination of the party’s leader, Benazir Bhutto on December 27, 2007. After the program the panelists responded to audience members' questions. Mr. Pascual moderated.

Professor Laghari was previously director of graduate studies and a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Sherry Rehman also is a member of parliament in the National Assembly of Pakistan. She is a former editor of the Pakistan-based Herald news magazine. close
