Walter McCormack talked about the issues of broadband deployment and “net neutrality.” U.S. Telecom is the association that represents telecommunications companies. Topics included the Federal Communication Commission’s role in dealing with telecommunications firms that are discovered limiting access to Web content and proposed legislation from Representative Edward Markey for regulating the Internet. He reacted to a video clip of Federal Communication Commissioner Kevin Martin speaking at a hearing he called in Boston on February 25, 2008. Mr. McCormack talked about the future of the Internet, including applications such as health care monitoring of patients and educational services.
