President Bush responded to the intelligence bill that was brought to the floor of the House of Representatives. He cited three sections of the bill that will cause him to veto it. First, he said that the House bill would create unnecessary bureaucracy. Second, he said that the bill lacked necessary liability protection for companies that assist the federal government. Third, he said that the bill would establish an unnecessary commission to examine past intelligence activities. close
