Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle made the keynote address at a forum on the role of chronic disease prevention and management in the reform of the health care system. Several video presentations were made as part of the opening portion of the conference, which continued with a panel on the topic “Finding Solutions in Health Reform: What’s the Value of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management?” Panelists addressed a number of issues including the availability of health insurance, quality of health care, chronic disease research, and future of the health care industry.
