“Our Lady Liberty: Celebrating Nadine Strossen” was the closing plenary luncheon of the ACLU Membership Conference 2008: Stand Up For Freedom, held in the Washington Convention Center.
Justices Antonin Scalia, David Souter, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg paid tribute to retiring American Civil Liberties Union President Nadine Strossen as she planned to retire after serving as president of the American Civil Liberties Union since 1991. Ms. Strossen Justice Ginsberg spoke for all three of the Justices.
