Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf delivered the annual speech honoring former South African President Nelson Mandela. In her speech titled “Behold the New Africa,” she cited economic growth and political changes that showed the continent was overcoming dictatorship and poverty. Continued reform was dependent on Africans fighting corruption and mismanagement. President Johnson-Sirleaf also spoke about the need for a solution to the leadership crisis in Zimbabwe. close
