Badi Foster, Christopher Edley, and Marlon Marshall talked about the state of education. Then Peggy McIntosh, Alford McMichael, and Maria Echaveste commented on their presentation and the panelists and other participants engaged in discussion.

Session 2 of the event was titled “Education: What Are We Teaching? What Are We Learning? Are We Failing.” Former U.S. Senator and Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and his wife, playwright Janet Langhart Cohen, hosted this conference at the National Press Club on “Race and Reconciliation in America.” They are the co-authors of Love in Black and White, the autobiographical account of their bi-racial marriage. close
