President Bush and Peruvian President Fujimori delivered brief remarks before the departure of the Peruvian president from the White House. President Bush reviewed the progress Peru has undertaken in the war on drugs and its economy since the ascension of the Peruvian president to power, and called for the continuation of the cooperation of Peru and the United States in fighting drugs and expanding trade. President Fujimori also praised the cooperation of the United States and Peru in fighting the drug war, and looked forward to continued good relations with the United States. close
