President George H.W. Bush introduced a new agreement to reduce the amount of air pollution in the Grand Canyon during the president’s tour of the national park. The new regulations would require a coal-fired power plant 15 miles away from the canyon to install $430 million of new pollution reducing equipment to reduce the haze in the Grand Canyon. close
