Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell (D-ME) addressed the nation to respond to President Bush’s announcement earlier in the evening on the reduction of U.S nuclear arms in Europe and Asia. Sen. Mitchell lauded the reduction in nuclear arms, but stressed the need for increased concern about the American economy.
