The effort will be to place children at the top of the public policy agenda in 1992 and beyond. The focus of the news conference was the release of a report entitled: “The State of the Child.” The report includes findings from a survey which details how Americans feel about children’s issues, and how likely those issues will impact voters in the 1992 elections.
