Members of Congress, the executive branch and Washington, DC media circles, gathered for the 48th Annual Congressional Dinner, sponsored by the National Press Foundation. The $125-a-plate black-tie affair featured entertaining remarks by four members of Congress. Presidential counselor and former White House Chief of Staff John Sununu served as master of ceremonies. The annual congressional dinner is the foundation’s sole fundraising event. Proceeds from the dinner help fund a wide variety of journalistic education and activities programs. close
