The Freedom Forum hosted a panel discussion on "Congressional Leaks and Subpoenas of Journalists".

Two journalists produced stories based on leaked information concerning allegations of sexual harassment by Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas.

The U.S. Senate called for a special counsel to investigate the leaks and to determine if Senate rules were broken. The two journalists were subpoenaed for questions and both refused to reveal their sources. Mr. Phelps is one of the journalists subpoenaed because of the Thomas leak.

Audience questions were taken after the panel discussion.
