The U.S. Senate is expected to take up the spending bill for the National Institutes of Health next week. Contained in that bill is a provision that would overturn the current ban on federal funding for human fetal tissue research. Rep. Smith, chairman of the House Pro-Life Caucus, and others, talked with reporters about the need to discourage the use of human fetal tissue for research. close
