Governor Mario M. Cuomo (D) New York and Gov. Clinton (D) Arkansas appeared together at a joint news conference, during which Gov. Cuomo declined to endorse Clinton. Gov. Clinton was asked about his derogatory remarks about Cuomo that were contained on the tapes released by Gennifer Flowers. Gov. Clinton also discussed a negative ad on abortion that his campaign pulled yesterday after it first aired in New York. Gov. Cuomo indicated that he did not believe that there would be a brokered convention. They took reporters' questions. close
