The editors for USA Today gathered and discussed possible stories for the week. One of the main subjects of the discussion was abortion and the Supreme Court case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey. Other topics were the paper’s circulation numbers, the next day’s cover story on the Life page, The Stanley Cup coverage in Sports, a story on scamming with airline tickets, the Stock Market, the rise of the market for mobile homes, and a story on the nation’s prisons. Prior to the meeting, Mr. Prichard discussed the format and procedure of the editorial meeting. He also acted as chairman of the proceedings. close
