Following meetings with members of Congress on Capitol Hill, Gov. Bill Clinton, candidate for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination, and several members of Congress held a news conference in the U.S. Capitol. Sen. Mitchell said the Democratic members of Congress were enthusiastic for the Clinton candidacy, and Gov. Clinton delivered a short statement concerning his plans for working with the Congress to “turn this country around.” Gov.
