Coverage of the California Senate races included interviews with political correspondents and candidates running for their party’s nominations. California faces two Senate elections in 1992 due to the decision by Pete Wilson to resign his Senate seat to run for governor of California in 1990. His designated replacement, Sen. John Seymour, must run for election in 1992 to determine who shall serve the remaining two years of the term. The seat currently occupied by Sen. Seymour will face reelection again in 1994. close
