Cameras followed a congressional delegation made up of members of the Senate Select Committee on P.O.W./M.I.A. Affairs as they visited Vietnam to investigate sightings of American servicemen held as P.O.W.'s in Southeast Asia and to improve relations with the country of Vietnam. Members of the delegation included Senator John Kerry (D-Massachusetts), Sen. Charles Robb (D-Virginia), Sen. Hank Brown (R-Colorado), Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), and Sen. Bob Smith (R-New Hampshire). Interspersed throughout the excerpts from the delegation’s trip are interviews with Vietnamese officials and

call-in periods with author and Vietnam veteran Fred Downs. Cameras also covered the Vietnam War Memorial Day ceremony which featured the

remarks of former Senator George McGovern (D-South Dakota) and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lewis Puller, Jr., author of "Fortunate Son". close
