During a photo op with Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland, President H.W. Bush answered questions asked by reporters concerning the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro and the controversy surrounding the United States position on global environmental issues. The Prime Minister did not speak and the President attempted to end the questions at what was scheduled as a photo opportunity. He did say William Reilly, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, was a top environmentalist and had his full support. He criticized the leak of a document prepared by Mr. Reilly. close
