The National Right to Life Committee held its 20th annual convention in Washington, DC. During the convention, the panel discussion entitled, “Politics of 1992: Winning for Life,” focused on specific political strategies concerning abortion that might be used in the 1992 presidential and congressional campaigns. Mr. O’Steen said the panel would discuss the political strategies that should be used by pro-life candidates and the political strategies they will face in their pro-choice opposition. Mr. O’Steen presented poll results concerning the issue of abortion, and Ms. Long presented a number of television commercials from the 1990 elections concerning abortion on a television before the audience attending the forum. close
