Witnesses testified about 16 U.S. soldiers that died in Iraq after being electrocuted, as well as electrical systems operations in various regions of Iraq. The hearing titled “Deficient Electrical Systems at U.S. Facilities in Iraq” was held to look into those deaths and to the governments investigation and response to the incident. Senator Casey testified on the investigation into the electrocution death of Staff Sergeant Ryan Maseth. close
