Representative Robert Wexler talked about and read excertps from Fire-Breathing Liberal: How I Learned to Survive (and Thrive) in the Contact Sport of Congress, his book that describes his experiences representing Florida in the U.S. Congress. He writes about defending President Bill Clinton during the impeachment hearings and his leadership in the movement to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney. He also shares his perspective on the 2000 presidential election, particularly the butterfly ballot controversy in his Florida district. Representative Wexler responded to questions from the audience following his remarks.
