A ceremony was held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The ceremony included music and an honor guard from the Military District of Washington. Father Mark Moretti made the invocation and benediction. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Frazer made remarks. State Department employees Dudley Sims and Hamzaali Girnary reflected on the events. close
