Manuel Mendoza Valencia was interviewed at Walter Reed Hospital in 2005 while recuperating from injuries received in Iraq for the program “Soldiers Wounded in Iraq.” In 2008 he was interviewed at his home about coping with his disability, his future aspirations, and ways his life had changed during the intervening period. In “Three Years Later: Conversations with Iraq War Veterans,” portions of both interviews were shown side by side comparing and contrasting the soldiers' lives, attitudes, and opinions in 2005 and 2008. close
