On Saturday, the 45-nation Nuclear Suppliers Group approved a U.S. proposal to lift a global ban on nuclear trade with India. This deal now has to clear the final hurdle of Congressional approval. Daryl Kimball (representing against) and Karl Inderfurth (representing for) discussed and debated what this deal means in terms of U.S.-India diplomacy, nuclear proliferation, and global energy demands. The also talked about the State Department’s decision yesterday to halt civilian nuclear accord with Russia and responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
