Democratic Governor Brian Schweitzer debated challengers to his seat, Republican State Senator Roy Brown and Libertarian Stan Jones. The debate, held in the Montana Theatre on the University of Montana campus, was aired live on statewide TV via Montana Public Television, and on Montana Public Radio and Yellowstone Public Radio. Panelists included Missoulian editor Sherry Devlin, Montana Public Radio news director Sally Mauk, and three students selected by the Associated Students of the University of Montana. The questions were suggested by readers of the Missoulian and listeners of KUFM, as well as from University of Montana students. John Twiggs of Montana PBS moderated. close
