David Mark analyzed new political ads targeted at the economic advisers for the presidential campaigns. First was shown an ad known as “Jim Johnson” released Thursday, September 18, 2008, by the McCain campagin that focused on Senator Barack Obama’s ties to Jim Johnson -- the former CEO of Fannie Mae. Mr. Johnson stepped down as the head of Senator Obama’s vice presidential search team earlier in the year. The was released in only a few hours in response to a new ad from the Obama campaign about Senator McCain’s economic advisers known as “Who Advises.” That ad was also shown. close
