Tom Gjelten talked about and read excerpts from his book, Bacardi and the Long Fight for Cuba, about the Bacardi family and its impact on Cuba. Popularly known for making rum, the Bacardi family has been heavily involved in the island nation’s social and political life since the late 19th Century and now has its eyes on post-Castro Cuba. Following his remarks, Mr. Gjelten responded to audience members' questions.
