The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation held a townhall meeting, “Foreclosure Crisis: Reasons, Repercussions, and Real Solutions.” Representative Barney Frank gave the keynote speech. He talked about what will he hoped would be included in the financial bailout package. The panel discussion focused on national issues. Topics included the factors that led up to the current financial market crisis, views of the bailout package, and financial literacy. Throughout the discussion, panel members arrived and left as their schedules allowed, including Representatives Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Gregory Meeks. Panel members responded to questions from the audience. Marc Morial moderated. close
