E.L. Doctorow talked about his life and work. He focused on the events and questions that led to him becoming a writer. Mr. Doctorow is the author of numerous books, including Ragtime, World’s Fair (National Book Award winner), and Billy Bathgate (National Book Critics Award winner). His latest book is Creationists: Selected Essays 1993-2006.
