President Bush signed H.R. 7081, the United States-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act, at a signing ceremony in the East Room of the White House. He spoke briefly about the importance of the act to U.S. interests and international security provisions. The act allowed U.S. businesses to sell nuclear reactors to India in exchange for safeguards and inspections. close
