Panelists spoke about the 2008 general election results, the potential impact of an Obama presidency, and potential shifts in U.S. policy as a result of Democratic Party gains in the House and Senate. Topics included rule changes in the House, term limits on committee chairs, and what might happen in the House lame duck session. David Hawkings moderated.

“What’s the Impact?: The New Agenda for Congress and the Nation” was the second panel of the Congressional Quarterly Election Impact Conference held in the Ronald Reagan Building. Public Affairs Council was a co-sponsor.

David Hawkings was identified on-screen as David Hawkins. close
