Ray Young talked about the latest developments in negotiations among the Big Three auto companies, auto unions, and Congress on the possible federal assistance to the auto industry. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.

Mr. Young was instrumental in putting together GM’s long-term restructuring plan after Congress demanded that the Big Three present such plans before agreeing to any further federal assistance. GM’s Chairman and CEO Richard Wagoner will testify today before the House Financial Services Committee. close
