A panel discussion was held on the global nature of the current financial crisis and its effects on the standard of living of people worldwide. Topics included the need for President-Elect Obama to develop an international economic policy that integrates the level and objectives of development assistance, trade priorities, an approach to reform of international financial institutions, and a strategy to advance the Decent Work Agenda. Panel members responded to questions from the audience. Sarah Wartell moderated.
