The Art and Craft of Lobbying
The American University Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute is a two week institute for giving students an intensive exploration of the art and craft of the lobbying profession.
William Sweeney conducted a lecture on “Conceptualizing Political Issues and Strategies.” He talked about issue advocacy, the role of the lobbyist, and the political process. He also spoke about representing business interests, clients, and the art of public relations. He answered questions from the students.
