He was interviewed in his office prior to his retirement in January 2009, after having served 36 years in the Senate. He talked about his work on the Banking and Energy Committees, his time in Washington, and his views of the world today. He also spoke about his coping with a brain disease in the frontal lobe and how his medical concerns influenced his decision to retire. close
