Bill Press hosted other progressive talk-radio hosts and other guests on-stage together for a celebration of the inauguration of Barack Obama and the role progressive talk radio played in the 2008 elections. The Reverend Al Sharpton participated by phone. The Capitol Hillbillies band performed during commercial breaks.

“Obama Radio Nation 2009” was a live audience show in Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University. It was broadcast on progressive talk-radio stations around the country, syndicated via Media Syndication Services. On September 15, 2008, WWRC-AM was temporarily renamed Obama 1260. close
