British Prime Minister Gordon Brown answered questions from members of his party and the opposition. The state of the British financial market and economy dominated the questions in the House of Commons. The prime minister responded to questions about the resignation of James Crosby, deputy chairman of the British bank recovery program. Mr. Crosby resigned amid allegations of improper conduct during his tenure as head of the Heritage Financial Group.
