One of the middle school section third prize-winning videos, Environmental Crisis: Should We Drill in Alaska?, was produced by Matthew Helm and Benny Richmond, 8th-grade students at Lora L. Batchelor Middle School in Bloomington, Indiana.

C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary exploring an issue of national significance that they believe is in need of urgent attention from the new president of the United States.
