European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made the closing remarks at a meeting of European Leaders on the global financial crisis. The leaders met in Brussels to present a unified European financial plan ahead of the G20 financial summit meeting in London. German Chancellor Angela Merkel rejected appeals for a multibillion-euro bailout of Eastern Europe. President Barroso talked about the future of the European auto industry and creating a solid financial plan for Europe.
