Michael Korda is the author of numerous books, including Ike, Ulysses S. Grant, and Journey to a Revolution. He is the former editor-in-chief of the book publisher, Simon and Schuster.
Michael Korda talked about With Wings Like Eagles: A History of the Battle of Britain (Harper; January 6, 2009). In the book he recounts the Battle of Britain that occurred during the summer and fall of 1940 and pitted Britain’s Royal Air Force against a Nazi army that was intent on control of Europe. Mr. Korda, who served in the RAF, examines the battle from the air and the ground as he details the political and diplomatic issues that lead to the conflict. Following his remarks he responded to audience members' questions.
