Joe the Plumber Samuel J. Wurzelbacher talked about the book he wrote with Thomas Tabback, Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream (Pearlgate; February 6, 2009). Mr. Wurzelbacher was called “Joe the Plumber” in the media as a metaphor for middle class Americans after he was videotaped questioning Democratic candidate Barack Obama about his small business tax policy during a campaign stop in Ohio.
