Colonel John P. Johnson, commander of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, spoke by live remote from Afghanistan to provide an operational update to reporters in the Pentagon. Among the topics he addressed was upcoming elections in Afghanistan, and he responded to reporters' questions. Colonel Pete Johnson and the men and women of his Task Force Currahee are responsible for security and stability operations in the central eastern area of Afghanistan, along the Pakistan border. Colonel Johnson has been commanding his unit in Afghanistan since April 2008. close
