William Cohan talked about his book House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street (Doubleday; March 10, 2009). In his book Mr. Cohan details the rise and fall of Bear Stearns and focuses on the choices executives made that ultimately led to the government-forced merger with J.P. Morgan. The guest interviewer was Deborah Solomon.

William Cohan was an investment banker for 17 years. He worked at Lazard Freres, Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase, before leaving Wall Street to write his first book, The Last Tycoons. Mr. Cohan has written columns for the New York Times and The Washington Post. He regularly writes for the Daily Beast, Financial Times and Fortune magazine. close
