A tour of the Lincoln home in Springfield, Illinois, was given in scenes recorded July 17-19, 2008. This is where Abramham Lincoln lived with his wife and children before leaving for the White House. It served as Lincoln’s unofficial campaign headquarters in 1860. It is also the home where three of his four sons were born, and where the Lincolns staged lavish parties as the Springfield lawyer rose in political prominence and cultivated a national reputation. close
